About me
and the show

My name is Aylssa Cowell and I am a counsellor with over 20 years experience supporting young people. I believe that everyone wants to live the happiest life that they can, and sometimes we all need a little bit of help. With long waiting lists and expensive private mental health care, it’s not always easy to access that help though and too many people have no idea where to look to begin feeling better.

Personally I was also tired of seeing empty Instagram quotes offering little in the way of actual practical strategies or trying to listen to podcasts that took an hour to get to the point.

So I created this podcast to be less than 10 minutes in length and to be to the point, with evidence based, practical strategies that anyone can use to improve their mental health & wellbeing.

You can listen to it all, or you can cherry pick the episodes that you think would be most helpful. Some strategies will be great for you, some may not work – this is because we are all different.
